Things I've built and published
Apps and research that took an idea from a notebook to something people could actually use or read.
ReUpCycle Home
A mobile app that scans household waste products and guides users on how to recycle or upcycle them correctly according to local laws. Most household recycling gets rejected because it isn't sorted correctly — caps left on jugs, boxes left unflattened — contaminating entire batches. ReUpCycle Home uses AI to walk users through proper disposal and suggest creative, safe ways to reuse items instead. Planned updates include a points-based tracker to encourage recycling habits and mini-games to build awareness.
Emotion-in-Text Research App
Built at ASDRP alongside a co-authored research paper studying how emotional intent is bridged with plain text in online communication — exploring where meaning gets lost between what people mean and what they type.
Quantifying Bias in Agentic Large Language Models
Co-authored, IEEE-published paper introducing a benchmarking approach to measure bias in agentic LLM systems, plus a dataset built with minimal-bias prompt engineering techniques to produce more neutral model outputs. Published on IEEE Xplore.
